Epson Printer Control (M)

Posted on | September 6, 2017 | No Comments

Most Epson printers use an ESC P language or a upgraded version or other common PCL. The Epson C88+ is not spec’d by Epson to use this as best I can tell – the C88 was but not the “+”. When installing the printer driver in Windows Epson says it is OK to use the Microsoft supplied “C88 Series (M)” as the printer driver. When I asked Epson tech support what the (M)stood for, their reply was Microsoft. What does this really mean? Can I send a string of codes to control printing? If yes where do I find the codes?

Thank you.
